“This series of work from 2018 is primarily focused on bodies of water within a landscape. I find myself particularly fascinated by the reflected image presented along the surface of the water. The impact of light in an environment has become a major component in my work. Much of my inspiration derives from the coastal scenery of Savannah, GA. Growing up in an area containing winding rivers and an abundance of vegetation has surely influenced my artistic practice. Rivers and tidal creeks provide the ideal setting for discovering the unique interaction between water and landscape.”
